Welcome to our Back-to-School Canadian EdTech Leadership Summit Special Edition of the CanAm EdTech Report.

After a surreal last couple of years, it is great excitement that Canadian and U.S. school districts resumed in class instruction.

Having just been in conversation with Dr. Steve Joordens, U of T  professor psychologist and EdTech startup founder this week, who coined the phrase the "Great Snapback," I was reminded of the importance of human interaction to achieve optimal performance and happiness. And, after witnessing one of the most innovative periods in modern education, teachers' tendency to want to return to the way things were.

While I'm for the most part preaching to the converted, we must be mindful of our leadership in demonstrating the positive aspects of tech infused pedagogy that enabled us to sustain learning in a crisis and the potential to help students thrive beyond COVID.

In this issue, we're excited to share critical insights, innovations and research in the K12 & Higher Education space to help you optimize and refine learning with your students. We further hope you will take the opportunity to join us at the 13th Canadian EdTech Leadership Summit--"Driving Innovation Through Evidence-Bases Research." We welcome you to join us in-person in Montreal, or online at no cost to you.
